Glenn and Helen report that they’ve just finished their in-home podcasting studio, which looks very cool indeed.
“My voice sounds like NPR just coming out of my mouth,” Helen exclaimed after a test-run.
Presumably they’ll have the technology to correct for that.
Oh, and today is Murphy’s 2nd birthday. He looks old.

It’s Labor Day weekend. I give you Murphy’s labor:
It’s hard work for little pay. He does get benefits, though: kibble and toys.
It’s been a while since Murphy made an appearance on the blog, but his Co-Dad Matt is abroad so I figured I’d broadcast a little hello.
Stay. Good dog.
It’s been an intense two days — massive immigration rallies, the anniversary of “Mission Accomplished,” the start of a real debate on how to fix Iraq’s government. Time for puppy pics.
Congratulations to Murphy who had his stiches and lampshade/cone removed this morning. He adapted well to the contraption and healed well despite the horrific stitching job. He was wet, scared, and unhappy upon arriving at the vet.
The cone is gone and Murphy is happy now:
Murphy is back at the vet after he opened his stitches last night. He had a 3 inch open hole in his belly when I woke up this morning which was absolutely terrifying. He’ll be fine but needs to stay at the vet for a few days.
So sad…
I offer this post with my deepest and most sincere apologies to our dog, Murphy. Today is the day: Murphy is getting neutered.
