Tom of TheBlueState.com has created a chopped video of the 60 Minutes interview of John and Elizabeth Edwards by Katie Couric. The video now only consists of Couric’s question — John and Elizabeth’s answers have been removed. The result is truly disgraceful. Couric was resoundingly criticized for using straw man arguments to attack the Edwardses during the interview, repeatedly offering up “Some say….” without ever saying who those people were or providing evidence that people were upset with Edwards for continuing his presidential campaign after learning of his wife’s cancer relapse. In fact, Americans support Edwards’ decision two to one. In the last five days he’s also been tremendously successful fundraising.

Couric is insensitive, hostile, and wrong. She should be ashamed of herself for her performance in this interview.
