Atlas Shrugs on the Bolton “resignation”:

Speechless …………….. hardly surprising. There is no way a man of John Bolton’s character would be the willing mouthpiece for the terrible foreign policy direction the administration has taken.

There is no way he would lie and put a happy face on something so very bad. What a stunning loss.

A very bad day for America. The Bush Doctrine RIP.

Quick point of clarification:

Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution: “The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.”

Bolton didn’t resign; Congress fired him through inaction. The death of the Bush Doctrine, if that is what this is, occurred at the hands of a Republican-controlled Congress, not, as Pam says, by “the terrible foreign policy direction the administration has taken.” Bolton equals Bush Doctrine, Bush still wants Bolton.

RIP Le Mustache. Maybe now we can promote the UN building from its current status as the West Wing bathroom.
