Ward Churchill is a native American University of Colorado ethnic studies professor who has been critical of the victims of September 11th, likening them to Nazis, and claimed 9/11 was inevitable in light of the fact that the US has killed half a million Iraqi children.

OK, so those are the facts according to Rush Limbaugh. Pretty Absurd. Clearly Churchill is someone no one in there right mind anywhere on the legitimate political spectrum would agree with.

Yet Rush described him as typical of the American Left. He says he wants the Left to keep talking, so people can here what they’re actually saying. He equated Churchill to liberals and the Democratic Party, citing him as emblematic of the Left.

This is exactly what I was talking about in my post, “Just Stop (or continue and see what happens).” The Right takes leftist extremists saying the most repugnant things and gets Americans to think that’s what all Democrats are like. This is a perfect case.

Why don’t we do the same, since it clearly works on some level. Michael Savage said the Asian tsunami wasn’t a tragedy and America shouldn’t spend a dime helping them out. Ergo, Conservatives hate charity. Conservatives are unchristian. Conservatives are selfish. Let’s have Michael Savage keep talking, since we want the country to hear what the Right has to say.
